To get started with Quirkbot is easy! Simply take the backpack and place it onto the back of the Quirkbot. If you have an early version of Quirkbot with no battery protection make sure that all holes in both headers on the back are inserted with pins from the backpack! Then turn on your Quirkbot by dragging the switch between the eyes towards the Quirkbots left eye (left from the Quirkbots perspective). If you've recieved a new Quirkbot and haven't used it before the 2 blue eyes should blink in different frequencies. This is the default code that all Quirkbots come delivered with.
Next step is plugging in the servo motor into the backpack where it says 1 or 2. Notice that the frequencies with which the eyes blink is also the same frequencies for the servo motor. The faster the eye is blinking the faster the servo motor will go on that side of the Quirkbot.
The final step is, as shown in the below photo, to attach the shaft to the servo motor and click a strawbee onto it. You don't need to screw the shaft to get started, just press it onto the servo and it will stick good enough for some smaller demos and simpler robots.
Now start adding straws to the quirkbot and to the Strawbee that is attached to the servo. IMPORTANT NOTE: To lock the Strawbee to the servo shaft try squeezing the straw so that it goes over both of them.
