It seems correlated with the servo already connected and moving, when switching quirkbot on on in the USB of my PC, because after several hours of tentatives, being careful to disconnect the servo, before switching on, it works fine each time, giving a known quirkbot.as COM6 port and workiing for code programming.
It is the servo asking too much current and the voltage too variable so that it starts not correctly at random.with the servo connected.
Please add this advice, to disconnect all servos before connnecting to USB, in your notice to help yours users like me and save their time, on some computers;
Reset works, but it could be useful to indicate that reset and after bootload works even if not connected correctly, by clicking upload code even without any visible code, on a quirkbot completely lost, (no more device ), that was my situation after some bad tentatives on codebender !!
I could give by email ( Jean Marc ) to you French translations easily at least for french kids.
On a completely new system, many more explanations are necessary, that are no more necessary, after knowing it better.
For installation (more easily to find where is the program), starting, Midi, contacts, Led or IR or detectors, programming as arduino, or with codebender, quite more explanations are necessary, and more easily found and detailed, in particular for kids.
Is it dangerous for electronic to connect wrongly in reverse the servo ????
Otherwise I like quirkbot, wirh many working possibilities, and you can sell many, if the notice is more easy..
